The 2025 Wanda Diamond League season will be kicked off with the Red Star Macalline Wanda Diamond League Xiamen 26th of April. The third edition of the Xiamen Meeting will be another top Track & Field Meeting with seven field events and nine track events in the main program. Already today we are delighted to announce two of the star athletes.
The Ukraine’s High Jump star, Yaroslava Mahuchikh, will come back to Xiamen to challenge her own Meeting Record of 2.02 m from 2023. The defending Wanda Diamond League Champion really had an outstanding 2024 season. She claimed the World Record, jumping 2.10 m in the Wanda Diamond League Meeting in Paris, beating the old record of 2.09 m standing for 37 years. After a trilling High Jump final at the Paris Olympic Games, Mahuchikh was crowned Olympic Champion.
The 200m Olympic Champion, Letsile Tebogo, will run the 100m at the Wanda Diamond League season opener in Egret Stadium, Xiamen. Tebogo had a great season that awarded him the prestigious title – World Athletics Male Athlete of the year. In the 100m Olympic Final Tebogo set a new National Record of Botswana with 9.86 seconds.
