Wanda Diamond League Xiamen 2nd of September 2023 – Athletes’ announcement one month to go.
Discus Women will be a one of the highlights for the home crowd. The 2022 World Champion for China, Bin Feng, will be challenged by the seven times Diamond League final winner, and double Olympic and World Champion, Sandra Perkovic (CRO).
In the men’s 110 m hurdles the double World Champion, Grant Holloway (USA), will meet the Olympic Champion, Hansle Parchment (JAM).
In the women’s Long Jump world number one- and five times Diamond League final winner, Ivana Vuleta (SRB) is confirmed. The National Champion of China, XIONG Shiqi, will be one of the challengers.
Triple jump men will be another exciting event, ZHU Yaming (CHN), the Olympic and world championship medalist, will face strong competition from the Olympic and World Champion, Pedro Pichardo (POR). The double Olympic Champion and four times world Champion, Christian Taylor (USA) will also be there to make this triple jump competition one to watch.
The world number one, Marco Arop (CAN), will be the headliner in a competitive 800m field.
